Blurb/Synopsis: When Broadway actor Jonah receives word that his uncle has passed away and named him the heir to a property in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Jonah’s plan is to settle the estate as quickly as possible and return to his life in New York City.

Much to Jonah’s surprise, the inheritance includes the Ashford Cemetery—and its hunky groundskeeper, recent Bosnian immigrant Luka Pavelka. Jonah soon discovers Luka is more than easy on the eyes. He sees into Jonah’s heart like no man ever before, and his job at the cemetery is all he has. If Jonah sells, Luka is left with nothing.

Luka is there for Jonah when Jonah needs someone most, and there’s no denying the chemistry and connection between them. But Jonah has a successful career back in New York. Now he must decide if it’s still the life he wants….

FTC Disclosure: I received this book for free from the author, editor, publisher, or Promo Host. This is my honest opinion about this book and I did not receive any monetary compensation for writing this review nor was I obligated to write a positive one.

I found it hard to breathe, like all the oxygen had been pulled out of the air. “You’re telling me that my uncle left me a cemetery? This cemetery?” What the fuck was I supposed to do with a goddamn cemetery?

“Yes. Parts of it date back to when the town was founded, in 1750, and it was apparently increased in the mid-1800s to the twelve or so acres it is today. Back then, this was beyond the edge of town by a good half mile, so it was a perfect place for a cemetery. When your uncle had the mortuary business, he sold plots here. There are still some that can be sold, as well as a trust fund for the care of the cemetery. Perpetual care and all that. But yes, this is part of the estate.”

He sounded so damned reasonable, like I’d just inherited an office building or apartment complex. Not a cemetery.

“Let me get this straight.” I was afraid to take a step in case the damn ground opened up and swallowed me whole. “You’re telling me that this is part of my inheritance…?” I didn’t know what else to say. I was shocked and scared all at once. What the hell would I do with a cemetery? “Oh my God.” I placed my hands on the sides of my head. “I own dead people.”

My Rant:

Buried Passions is breathtaking heart clutching beautiful. The book had me gripping my seat intensely for more. My emotions were unhinged at the love story that was unfolding between Jonah and Luka and a glimpse of love between William and Samuel. This story was written with so much love and devotion, you can relive the characters perspectives so vividly it almost felt like I was being strung like a puppet by Andrews story as I was rocked to the core of my emotions. I felt what the characters felt ; loneliness, empathy, loss, love, lust, sadness, passion, courage and loyalty. As I flipped through the pages I faded into the story.

Buried Passions contained important jewels, life lessons that are fading this day and age. It is important to care for one another, a little caring goes a long way and touches so many simultaneously and on so many levels. The story also displays the beauty of love and that it's okay to be loved and give love freely in all forms. You walk with the characters as they encounter this journey. Passion and love rips through the pages and Andrew gives us a up close and steamy view that I loss my breath, my heart was racing and I wanted so badly to be Jonah. Luka was fierce with a fire that could burn down cities, literally. He is a lover that everyone and anyone would hope and dream for. I loved his personality and his ability to connect with Jonah mentally and physically. He always knew what Jonah needed and that's why Luka is my favorite character in this story becouse his love is untainted, unconditional and innocent . I did connect with Jonah and I loved him as a character I felt his emotions and internal struggles but Luka stole my heart just for being the knight in shinning armor.

Buried Passion gave me life after a long break in reading. The book inspired me, rocked me, stirred me and made want to devour all my time into reading this amazing stories. Andrew's imagination knows no bounds and once you are hooked into the story your stuck, I couldn't seem to put the book down. I didn't want to finish Buried Passions quickly and I am sad the time is up and the story is over and now I have to go back to reality. You know, I could go and hide in my office and read it again. ☺️ I won't tell if you don't.
