Excerpt: My brain was barely functioning due to the amount of alcohol I'd consumed.  I simply stared at him; powerless to move away from the hold he had over me. 
My eyes traced over the sharp curve of his jaw and the elegant sweep of his cheekbones.  His deep-set brown eyes seemed far away for a moment.  He blinked and flashed his disarming smile, erasing the somber expression on his face.

The synapses started firing in my brain again.  How much did he know about me? "Why would I understand?"

"You were the face of Clark Cline almost 10 years ago.  You caused quite the controversy." As if intent on changing the subject, he tapped the empty bottle of Patron on the table.  "Celebrating something in particular?"

It only took the mere mention of Clark Cline to make my skin crawl.  He was slimy, a predator dressed in a designer suit.  Swallowing away the bad taste his name left in my mouth, I forced myself to smile.  "Siobhan was celebrating her scoop.  Even the AP picked up her story.  It was a big day for her if you’re in the blogging game.  She's a major player now."

Nick rubbed his fingertips over his lips.  He studied me carefully with his piercing brown eyes before he propped his forearms on the table, his sexy voice barely louder than a whisper.  "And you? What are you celebrating?"

My Rant: Love this book. Tempted is definitely going in the favorite book list. I did not expect this book to be as good as it was. Sad to say, I am not one to read love stories with rock star's but this book completely changed the way I feel about that. Tempted pulls you into the story immediately, you are so drawn to the characters and the plot that time seems to pass you. Savannah has her own issues she has to deal with from the past and just like most people once you are burned it’s hard to let people get close to you. Savannah finally has a break and lands a job with the sexy rock star, Nick Hart. The chemistry between both characters is sizzling like Fridays sizzle chicken and shrimp and if you ever been to a Fridays restaurant you know that dish is hot when it is served and you damn near burn your mouth trying to eat it.

Nick is the ideal leading man you want in a good romance story. He is sexy, caring and all alpha but knows how to be a romantic at heart.  But there is a darker side to Nick and I love it, completely love it.  This story was amazing . The authors writing just wraps and engulfs you in the story that you are compelled to continue to read it. The mystery keeps you gripping the edge of your seat but the emotions of the characters is what captivates you.  You feel the hurt, the betrayal and yet the temptation to stay away from something you want so bad and when that temptation finally leads to an unbearable pain you fell the romantic rush of relief when you finally get to have the thing or things you wanted the most.  While you are on this journey of unrelenting love you are left wanting more in the end because you are left with a cliffhanger ending that renders you helpless and addicted. The only way to relieve that helplessness and addiction is to use the Amazon one click purchase button to buy book two in the series.

Tempted was such a great book. The plot and the characters where amazing. The storyline was engaging and exhilarating. This is my first time reading works from Alexandra Anthony and I am completely impressed by Tempted so much that it is being added to my favorites list.

My Recommendation: 

I loved Tempted and I rated this book 5 out of 5 Purple Rant Hearts and would recommend this book to anyone that loves a fast pace paranormal romance series
