Book Blurb: Allison now understands who she is and where she comes from, but will it be enough to save the world? She went through a dangerous journey, dragging her young daughter along for the ride, in an attempt to stop the evil Rising Leader, Damien, from opening the Seven Seals and bringing about the Apocalypse.
But she hasn’t succeeded yet. The Rising still thrives and Lilith has made it her mission to open the remaining Seals so that she and her minions can rule the Earth.
David and Allison hope that love can conquer all, but in reality, love is never enough. Will they, along with the rest of the gang back at the Compound, be able to stop the Rising?
And where is The Descendant that is prophesied to save them all?
Excerpt: Chapter Six -First Night
After eating, we walked back to the bedroom. It was a grand bedroom, with a large king sized bed. The headboard was made of metal, angels were sculpted into it. The bedspread was pitch , er than the metal headboard and the white curtains wrapped around it like an angels wings.
The carpet was too and the walls were white. Everything was either or white in this room. But it wasn’t weird or unnerving, it was regal and elegant. It was beautiful.
Then I noticed David also staring at the bed and my cheeks warmed.
His hand was warm on the small of my back, and without removing it he turned to face me
, our faces now mere inches apart.
, our faces now mere inches apart.
I looked up into his eyes, as they saw deep into my soul. And then, the only thing I could think of was him. David. And me. David and me. Just us together.
My right hand flew to his neck and pulled his face down to meet me, his lips to meet mine. Super speed is awesome sometimes. Within less than a millisecond our lips were attached.
I had planned to shower first. To get the ten pounds of makeup off my face. To shave my legs and underarms again. To brush my teeth. And my hair.
But I didn’t care about it now. I didn’t care about any of that. I cared about him, feeling him and loving him. Holding him and being everything he has waited for.
He tongue was dancing a waltz with mine and the music was our hearts beating in sync. And all my cares were gone.
Ms. Jones you have done it again. I loved hope. The storyline continued to be amazing. Things are changing in the plot and I am completely on edge because I am trying to figure this all out. In the beginning I felt like there is some leering behind the scenes and I am wondering to myself why wouldn’t Rick lay it all on the line. My guard is up because everything seems to be going smoothly.
Things are to good to be true; the rising are quite, a little two quite if you ask me. But maybe they should be since a member of the Order bested one of their best leaders. Now that Damien is dead Lillith has taken his place. Now she and her minion Frank are scheming up a plan to kill all member of the Order. Lillith is evil down, so evil she is down right rotten to the core.
David and Allison find a little piece in the world and are very content with each other. The romances between both of the characters make you begin to feel all warm and tingly inside. The love between them is so innocent and what makes it more appealing is that these two characters have the whole world counting on them. They must win the war in order to bring piece.
Just when you think everything is going to be fine because good has claimed some power over evil, bam the scales tips. The plots action begins to pick up and take off and your racing through the book to find out how the characters are going to deal with the new challenges they have to face. What a rush… completely, I am so exhausted because this book worked every emotion known to man and at the end I am left in awe needing to know what is about to happen next. Where is this story going to go from here? Hope, I need to have hope in order to hang on until the next book release.
My Recommendation:
I rated this book 4 out of 5 Purple Rant Hearts. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good mature YA story that is filled with magic.
